Detailed Description

Outstanding picture quality for sharp pictures

The monitor has the maximum resolution (1920 x 1080 (Full HD) Pixel), an excellent contrast ratio of 1000:1, and brightness of 300 cd/m2. This means that you can edit graphics and images to the smallest pixel, for example. And what's more: the text contours are clear and precise. The LCD module with IPS panel provides 178 viewing angle, meaning that the user will see colors and contrasts as stable..

High-resolution look-up table

Thanks to their 16-Bit look-up tables, the CS230 monitor resolves image signals with an accuracy of 1/65-thousandth. In particular for deeper color tones, nuances in color and image structures are preserved. This reliable and precise rendering reduces the need for corrections and therefore shortens valuable production time.

Professional calibration with EIZO ColorNavigator

Good image editing can only take place with a well-calibrated monitor. The standard software calibration takes a long time and requires the user to have technical expertise. The CS230 is delivered with the ColorNavigator hardware calibration software. It can be even be performed by users with no technical expertise in just a few steps. Advanced users can enter numbers for brightness, gamma, white point, and other calibration settings as target values. As the calibration uses the monitor's hardware, it takes place without losses and independently of the computer and graphics card. The CS230 integrates perfectly into an existing system.

Stable colors in the long term thanks to self-correction

The monitor undertakes color corrections independently using the built-in sensor. The sensor is located in the housing frame and only comes out when taking measurements. In the first step, you calibrate the monitor according to your needs using an external measuring device and the ColorNavigator software. After this, the sensor will automatically measure color values, white points, and brightness and make corrections autonomously at scheduled intervals. You can define the correction interval yourself. This means that colors will remain stable permanently.

Constant tone value over the entire screen

Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) controls all tone values over the entire monitor, pixel by pixel. The effect: color tones appear identical at each point on the screen, without the brightness fluctuations you experience in conventional LCDs. The DUE function also balances out the effects of fluctuations in ambient temperature on the color temperature and brightness. You will enjoy consistently even luminance distribution and perfect color purity. A real plus when touching-up images.

10 bit color depth: a billion colors in the finest grades

Thanks to the 10 bit color display based on a 16 bit LUT, you can utilize a huge color spectrum. This is made possible by the rapid DisplayPort and HDMI connections in combination with the frame rate control. A billion colors at your fingertips simultaneously. That is 64 times more colors than with an 8 bit display. The color gradations are finer and the color differences between adjacent colors are smaller. The enhanced grayscale range is equally important for post-production. With the 10 bit grayscale range activated, between 6% and 14% more grayscales are visible.

Flicker-free working

The monitor is flicker-free at every brightness setting. This is implemented using the hybrid technology developed by EIZO to control the backlight. This combines the benefits of the otherwise standard PWM (pulse width modulation) and DC (direct current) control. The benefit: Your eyes do not get tired as quickly. You can work on the screen for an extended period.

Ergonomic and stable: the adjustable base

The CS230 has a flexible base to adjust the height, tilt, and rotation and supports both portrait and landscape use. The monitor can be tailored to the user's needs. For example, he can set a sitting position that is ergonomic for him (e.g. lowered to the bottom) or a position to show clients and colleagues something on the screen.
